Hi. leaving RAD car hire about 9:30 and can pick up along the way then head to TB.
I may leave Temple Basin early Monday 9th and come back to Chch via Porters for a days like there.
Small 5 door rental car.

The Temple Basin Carpark is located beside State Highway 73, 4 kms west of Arthur's Pass Village. The road is sealed and well maintained so chains are rarely needed. The free goods lift which carries all gear and supplies up the mountain, is also located beside State Highway 73 but 800m further west from the carpark. The access walking track starts from the west end of the carpark.
Weather Comment
Firm to start, but softening quickly - great spring skiing to be had with pow still to be found on shady aspects.
Information
Monday 15th September - OPEN. We have received 55cm of new snow over the last week. There is excellent coverage across the mountain, and we are open wall to wall.
