Road info
All vehicles must carry chains as road surface conditions can change quickly due to traffic volumes and/or weather conditions. Access road opening is expected between 6:30am and 6:45am, once staff transport has arrived on the mountain. If you see a line of traffic forming behind you, please pull to the side to allow faster vehicles past. Speed limit on the access road is 40km/h – maintain 2-way access at all time.

It’s 4pm and Mt Hutt is now closed for the day. Tomorrow’s weather forecast according to MetService.com is: Fine with morning frosts. High cloud developing towards evening.
