Porters Snow Report

Porters is open today, and it’s setting up to be the best weekend of the season so far. All lifts are running, our lower mountain trails have been given an amazing makeover by our snowmakers over the last few days, and snowplay at Porters Lodge, Restaurant and Bar is open from 10am. At 5:45am we have patchy high cloud, with light winds at all elevations. It is currently 3 degrees in the base area. We are expecting to see a bit of snow throughout the day, and there could be some epic skiing and riding to be had. All the main trails have been groomed overnight with Easy Street and the Platter being the pick first thing this morning for those looking for soft and forgiving snow. There is great cord on our intermediate trails through McNulty’s, which will be a lot of fun all day. Our patrol team will be assessing terrain this morning, and will be aiming to open Bluff Face later in the day. Check back for updates. Please ski and ride with care as early season conditions exist off trail. If you’re looking for a lesson, pop into our ticket office and book a spot with one of our instructors – we have options for all ages and abilities. Kids 10 and under ski for free at Porters. Porters Lodge Restaurant and Bar, just 6km up our access road, will be open for coffee from 9am, and meals from 11am. Saturday sessions kick off at 3pm. Our access road is chain free today. We recommend in winter that all vehicles carry chains – with snow in the forecast today, they may be needed. Our shuttle service will be running return trips throughout the day, picking up at Chain Bay 2 (and the lodge on request) at 8:45am, 9:30am, 10am, 10:30am and 11:00am. Return shuttles will be available all afternoon. As always, Porters will be offering hassle free parking, friendly vibes, short lift queues, and great skiing all around. See you all up here soon!
