Saturday September 13th - We are OPEN! It's snowing and we've already picked up about 3cm so far with favorable winds and more on the way! Expect some difficult light this morning but you'll want to be here when the sun pops! Thanks to all of our NZJFT competitors yesterday. Freeride has been a whirl. We've had adults and kids throwing themselves off of cliffs, straightline-ing some poor alpinists dream line, and sending it off the egg cup. with this new snow, please come help lower my blood pressure by skiing some smooth chalky wind refreshed snow on Main Face and hiking the soft on soft snow in Little AK. Dad turns appreciated but ripping powder turns still encouraged. Above the Top Hut, the skiing is phenomenal mid-winter skiing don't hesitate to bring out your new sticks. although there is skiing below the hut, its fun and been enjoyable skiing Ardi's and Demolition Chutes, but the track back to the tow is rocky-er than your mates off-road adventure enjoy the ski, but be easy on the tow and follow the track back without too much adventure. We'll see you at the 'Playground of the gods, home of freeride and the Sloppy Coffee' Don't forget your chains, and remember to grab a tow belt at the container.
