Road info
Chains are required on 2WD from Chain Bay 2 (Canterbury View). If you need to hire chains, pull into Chain Bay 1 (Info Booth) where you'll find McEwings offering a self-fit chain hire service. The gate on our access road will open at 7:15am. Road surface conditions can change quickly due to traffic volumes and/or weather conditions so check and load your chains just in case. If you see a line of traffic forming behind you, please pull to the side to allow faster vehicles past. The speed limit on our access road is 40km/h. Keep left to maintain 2-way access at all time.
Weather Comment
Snow, easing during the afternoon but remaining cloudy. Northwesterlies.
Information
Good morning! We are open today.Overnight winds have delayed our grooming, the Nor 'West is currently open and our cats have now completed grooming the Upper Mountain. We are assessing wind conditions to determine whether it is safe to operate the Summit and Triple Chairs, our goal is to have all three lifts spinning today! The forecast indicates winds should ease from late morning onwards. Overnight, we received approximately 2cm of new snow, followed by light rain, which has softened the snowpack. Please show consideration and respect to your fellow skiers and riders by observing the Snow Code: "Give Way" means matching your speed to surrounding skiers and riders in busier areas and being prepared for others to make sudden changes in direction or speed. Our Slope Safety team will be out today enforcing the Snow Code and will suspend lift access where necessary. We look forward to seeing you up here!
