Road info

We have freezing mist/drizzle on the access road making things super-slick, so chains are required on 2WD from Info Booth and on 4WD from Canterbury View. Self-fit chain hire available from Alpine Sports at the Info Booth. Keep left to maintain 2-way access and observe the 40km/h speed limit. If you have a line of cars forming behind you, please pull over to allow faster vehicles to pass safely.

Weather Comment

This morning, we have a blanket of cloud hanging around the inner basin, light winds in the base area and 33km/h southerlies at the summit. The cloud level is moving up off the plains as a slow-moving cold front approach from the south.  All main trails and parks have been groomed overnight and will provide the best skiing and riding as off-piste will remain very firm until new snow arrives. It is forecast to be a day of two halves with snow showers expected to arrive this morning and then clear out around the middle of the day. Lift operations may be impacted by visibility to begin with today. Come prepared for all eventualities and you won't be disappointed!

Information

The final day in the National Youth Championships will be taking place on Johnny Doles. Please respect closures whilst this race is taking place. Calling all boarders: Korua Shapes will be up here demoing their snowboards and splitboards.
